秋天来了，果园里果子成熟了，一串串葡萄好似一串串晶莹剔透的紫珍珠，在阳光的照耀下茁壮成长;水分充足的“毛猴子”迫不及待得跑上枝头，露出红红的小嘴，争着要人们去摘呢;红红的苹果也不甘示弱与桃子争宠;黄澄澄的梨像一个个小灯笼，和北极星共同为路人照明;柿子把枝头压弯了腰，原来它想蹦蹦跳跳地到人们的肚子里呢;菠萝虽然有刺，但人们就爱吃它的酸甜味儿，光闻一闻，它香甜的气味，人们就会陶醉，更别说吃了;满肚子黑水的木瓜也急切地要向人们献上它的美味;橘子也熟了，扒开它金黄的外衣，里面一瓣一瓣的，啊，别提多美味了，咬一口，水涌出来，有点儿酸，又有点儿甜......

看吧！麦子原先瘦小的身躯如今变的十分饱满，他们也褪掉了绿衣，换上了金色的新装，正在风中美滋滋的摇摆呢！农民伯伯看着这一片片像海洋一样的麦田，抿着嘴笑了。那黄澄澄的谷子，被谷穗坠得直不起身子，可还是拼命的随风摇曳，好像是在为金色的田野唱着赞歌。
瞧去！果园里，那一棵棵果树上挂满了果实，秋奶奶仿佛是一名化装师，，把苹果抹上了胭脂红，给橘子裹上了黄裙子，果实在树上推啊挤啊，吵吵嚷嚷，非要比 谁的个头大，那一个个硕大的果实在风的推搡下摇摇欲坠，让人忍俊不禁。山楂树上镶嵌着像红钻石似的果子，个个饱满。南面的那一片柿子树，红的多好看，简直 像一片火焰，“霜叶红于二月花“的诗句我们早已熟知，然而，比起柿子树的红艳来，那枫叶不知要逊色多少呢！从树上摘下一个熟透了的柿子，剥了皮，轻轻一 咬，啊，那甜美的汁水顿时流满了我的嘴，感觉好清凉。

秋天到了，水果园丰收了。红红的苹果妹妹、胖嘟嘟鸭梨弟弟、亮晶晶的葡萄家族等欢聚一堂。怎么把这些果儿送出果园呢？
大象总管把兔子司机﹑黑猫采摘员、小鸟种植员等都动员起来。
从此，兔子不停地开来开去，黑猫用他的爪子把果子一个个地抓下来……可大象看着这一排排的果子，再看看就这么几个员工在辛勤地劳动，总感觉少了什么。
一天后，果园门口多了一张大纸：
诚聘
司机：若干名
采摘员：若干名
价钱面议
三天过去了，也没有一个人来。大象总管急坏了，心想：如果再没人来帮忙的话，那么这些果儿们可就都要生病啦，怎么办啊。
正巧，一个蚂蚁部落从远处迁移到了果园。这天，蚁后外出觅食时看到了这张聘书。她对小蚂蚁说“我们来帮水果园做些事吧。”“好！”
“您好，总管先生！”一个微弱的声音传到了大象的耳朵里。脚趾上痒痒的，低头一看，是只小蚂蚁。“你这小东西，到这儿来干嘛呀？”“您好，我们是蚁族部落，看到了招聘书，想来帮忙。”“你们这么小，能干得了吗？”“可以的，我们人多力量大，你看！”顺着蚁后指的方向，只看见黑压压的一片，蚁后指挥着，“当司机的站左边，做采摘的站右边。”刷的一下，整齐地分成了两面。大象勉强点了点头了。
“开工！”只见一群蚂蚁开起了车，另外一群上了树，扔下果子，下面的蚂蚁把果儿们运到车上，经过七天奋战，齐心协力，把果儿们都送出了水果园。深秋的果园安静了。
从此，蚂蚁们在果园名声雀起，大象总管送了好多食物，蚂蚁们开心地过冬了。
