In fact,the kite runner impressed me deeply and it just depends on sensational words.Besides,what makes me most dislike is that the writer,an Afghan-American,contorted some political elements for American advantages.The history background only make the affair of Russia invading and Taliban dictators go into particulars,but not mention America's ignominious role in this politics.Why Taliban dictators are so unruly?Why Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979?Why Afghan people still live in poor condition nowadays?America,a main actor is disposed of in this novel.
At the second place,the characters all serve to a tacky theme-atonement and birth secrects.When the birth secrects are exposed,the atonement travel begins.When the atonement finishes,the story finishes.

篇17：老人与海英文读后感500
初中时，便买了美国作家海明威的《老人与海》，可总没有细细研读。在暑假时，我重温了这一名著。
《老人与海》的故事非常简单，讲的是古巴老渔夫圣地亚哥在连续八十四天没捕到鱼的情况下，终于独自钓上了一条大马林鱼。但这鱼实在大，把他的小帆船在海上拖了三天才筋疲力尽，被他杀死了绑在小船的一边，但在归程中一再遭到鲨鱼的袭击，老人拼尽全力与鲨鱼搏斗，最后回港时只剩下鱼头鱼尾和一条脊骨。
全篇都是一曲英雄主义的赞歌。老人圣地亚哥一开始就处于不利地位，认为自己“倒了血霉”，别的渔夫把他看做失败者，他“消瘦憔悴”，手上有“勒得很深的伤疤”，但在第八十五天下决心“驶向远方”去钓大鱼。这体现老人雄心依旧。
等真的钓到了一条大马林鱼，明知对方力量比自己强，还是决定战斗到底。“我跟你奉陪到死，”他说，因为当渔夫“正是我生来该干的行当”。这说明老人有毅力，不放弃，对渔夫职业的坚持。
后来鲨鱼一再来袭，他用尽一切个人手段来反击。鱼叉被鲨鱼带走了，他把小刀绑在桨把上乱扎。刀子折断了，他用短棍。短棍也丢掉了，他用舵把来打。这写出在与鲨鱼搏斗时，老人拼尽全力，不惜代价。
尽管结果鱼肉都被咬去了，但什么也无法摧毁他的英勇意志。老人在第一条鲨鱼咬去了大约四十磅马林鱼肉后想：“然而人不是为失败而生的，一个人可以被毁灭，但不能给打败。”这句话给与我震撼，老人此时并不是单纯为自己钓的鱼的`肉，而是为了自己的骨气。
作者细致地描写人物的行动，诸如出海前的准备工作，出海后如何下饵，鱼上钩后如何跟它周旋，最后如何把它杀死了绑在船边，以及如何和一条条鲨鱼搏斗的整个过程，都丝丝入扣地用白描手法细细道来。
文章的结尾处，老人带回的大马林鱼的骸骨躺在沙滩与海水之间。有旅客来露台饭店。一名女士看到了，指着大鱼长长的脊骨，问侍者“那是什么?”，侍者用西班牙语说“鲨鱼”，又用英语说了遍“鲨鱼”。他其实是想解释事情的经过，这是被鲨鱼残杀的大马林鱼的残骸。“我不知道鲨鱼有这样漂亮的、形状这样美观的尾巴。”这位女士已经错认为这是鲨鱼的骨骸。“我也不知道，”他的男伴说。这放在最后的一段简短的对话，给我印象深刻。侍者已无法用外语来描述老人当时在海上的壮举。而外行人的确只能看热闹，殊不知这不是鲨鱼，而是鲨鱼的“杰作”。更完全了解不到老人与鲨鱼搏斗时，鲨鱼的凶恶，只是觉得眼前这尾巴很漂亮。
文章中还屡次提到老人回忆年轻时看到非洲的海滩上有狮子出没，通过狮子来代表旺盛的生命力和青春老人的精神胜利还表现在末一句“老人正梦见狮子”中，物质被毁灭了，但是精神和记忆是永存的，老人保持着对美好事物的记忆。而有梦才有未来。
