我放下扫把拿着推耙把堆积成山的谷子向四下里散开。刚开始工作，我觉得非常轻松。可是，过了没有多久，我就觉得吃力起来，推耙越来越重。于是，我休息了一下。然后，我又干了起来。我先把谷子推开，接着把谷子推成一垄一垄的。这些工作做好后，我找了一个位置坐了下来。没过几分钟，我的眼睛就慢慢地合上了。我竟然睡着了。
我一觉醒来，看到谷子晒得差不多了，我就站起来，拿起工具收谷子了。我把那一条一条的谷子推平，这花了我不少时间。然后，我把谷子推成一条沟一条沟似的。这样原来下面的谷子给翻了上来，而且可以增加晒谷的面积，谷子晒起来容易干。
做完了这一些工作，我觉得非常开心。接着，我拿出了随身携带的课外书来看了起来。同时，我的眼睛还不时瞄向谷子，不让鸡来吃谷子。

事情凑巧，今天妈妈爸爸不在家，他们给了我20元钱，叫我买快餐。这不是个好机会吗?今天我自己当家，正好大显身手，让爸妈对我着个“三岁小孩”刮目相看。
菜市场人山人海，热闹非凡，五颜六色的蔬菜和各种肉制品，琳琅满目，应有尽有，叫人眼花缭乱。我虽然不经常自己买菜，但是也经常看着妈妈买菜。我该买什么好呢?我在肉摊上挑了一块瘦肉，然后便去买了些青菜，还买了几个鸡蛋。菜市场里湿湿的，一不小心，我摔了个大跟头。瘦肉跑出了袋子，鸡蛋洒了一身。我这才感到当家的辛苦，面对菜市场里的人，我想：这怎么办呀。我的这一身鸡蛋的臭味，一定会引来他们的嘲笑。面对这一切我无可奈何地走了回去，当家可不容易呀!

我把锅头洗了，重新煮了一锅饭。这回我可不能像上次那么一心两用，这可不好。我把米掏好后，再一次把掏好的米放进锅里煮。我一边煮菜一边看着饭，我买了那么多菜，我又不会煮什么好菜，以前爸爸妈妈煮菜我也跟着学了一些，就来个青菜炒猪肉吧。我先把猪肉切成片，再把油放进锅里，等油热了后，先炒一下猪肉，等猪肉半生熟后，在放青菜炒，然后再放盐，我这个对做饭一窍不通的“三岁小孩”，盐应该放多少呀?我就随意舀了一大勺盐放进锅里，哈，简单的青菜炒猪肉就行了!我又随意烧了个青菜汤，没办法我在菜市摔了一跤，惟独只剩下青菜了。我先放水，再放油，等水准备开了，就把青菜扔了下去，水开后，简简单单的青菜汤就烧好了。
我摆上了这简单的一菜一汤。一股青菜的清香向我扑来。吃着吃着，青菜太咸了，汤太淡了，哦……我煮的青菜汤还没放盐呢!我加了点盐在汤里，味道好极了;而那碟青菜我只好加一些水来把咸味减少!呀，也挺好吃的。尽管做这顿饭很辛苦，但我仔细算了一下帐，只花了6元钱，经济实惠、味道鲜美，真划算!而且从此改变了我在爸爸妈妈心中的形象。

那天晚上，女儿早早回到家里，帮妈妈做家务，还亲自下厨，炒了妈妈最喜欢吃的菜。
吃饭的时候，女儿从房里带出了一个盒子和一张纸条，妈妈非常吃惊，因为女儿手里的盒子正是那天女儿神秘放进抽屉的盒子。女儿依偎在妈妈的背上，拿出纸条，深情地读着：“妈，我爱你，如果我是荷花，您就是为荷花遮风挡雨的荷叶……”女儿读完后，笑着说：“妈，今天是您的生日，这段话是我反复修改后写的，这个礼物是我用零花钱买的，送给您，祝您生日快乐!”顿时，妈妈全明白了，那灯、盒子，妈妈都明白了。
妈妈非常感动，也觉得对不起女儿，于是把她原来的想法告诉了女儿。女儿听完后，笑着说：“妈，您不是没偷看我的抽屉嘛，而且您也仍然信任我嘛，只‘想想’没关系。”妈妈笑了，她得意的笑了，因为她庆幸当初只是“想想”。
信任是人与人沟通的必要条件，人生之幸，莫过于被人信任;人生之憾，莫过于失信别人，“信任”会让生活更美满、幸福。
