man’s life is a proceof growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.

when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. following i will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.

once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” i will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these procei will combine learning with doing. if i can achieve this “future”, i think that i really grow up. and i deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.

how to say future? maybe it’s a nice wish. lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

me and my fears

honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

it is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the english language.

about a year and a half ago, i took part in my very first english speech contest. when i stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, i could hardly speak. i stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. my fears had paralyzed me.

while my passion for english has never changed, i lost my courage to speak in public. when my professor again encouraged me to take part in this competition, i said “no.” i couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. he looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. i will never forget his words. “look,” he said, “we all have our fears, and you have yours. you could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. a winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits.”

i spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. then i made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: i would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

as it turned out, my dear old professor was right. now, here i am, once again standing before a microphone. my heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, i have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

thank you.

If your life feels like it is lacking the power that you want and the motivation that you need, sometimes all you have to do is shift your point of view.

By training your thoughts to concentrate on the bright side of things, you are more likely to have the incentive to follow through on your goals. You are less likely to be held back by negative ideas that might limit your performance.

Your life can be enhanced, and your happiness enriched, when you choose to change your perspective. Don't leave your future to chance, or wait for things to get better mysteriously on their own. You must go in the direction of your hopes and aspirations. Begin to build your confidence, and work through problems rather than avoid them. Remember that power is not necessarily control over situations, but the ability to deal with whatever comes your way.

Always believe that good things are possible, and remember that mistakes can be lessons that lead to discoveries. Take your fear and transform it into trust; learn to rise above anxiety and doubt. Turn your “worry hours” into “productive hours”. Take the energy that you have wasted and direct it toward every worthwhile effort that you can be involved in. You will see beautiful things happen when you allow yourself to experience the joys of life. You will find happiness when you adopt positive thinking into your daily routine and make it an important part of your world.

Good morning, dear teacher and fellow students. It’s my great honor to stand here and share a happy morning with you. Today my topic is “Haste makes waste”.

There is an old saying,” Haste makes waste.” It is the experience of our ancestors; however, it is correct in many cases even today.

If you only emphasize on speed but ignore the quality of your work, your will get the opposite effect.

Suppose you are preparing for your final examination. There are a lot of exercises to do and many notes to memorize. But you have not enough time to do this, so it makes you feel worried. Therefore, you have to read and write continuously(连续不断地), without sleep and relaxation. The result by doing this is that your brain is less and less efficient, your process is slower and On the contrary, if you do your preparations with a calculated(适合的) plan and carry out take part in the exams confidently with good preparations.

So, whatever you do, please remember the saying----Haste makes waste. If you understand it and apply it to your study or work, you?ll benefit a lot form it.

That’s all. Thank you!

The lines touching me most in the book is ?My momma always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are goanna got.?

Yes, life is full of uncertainty & puzzle. For someone, they wish to have the power to forecast future. Because they can be well prepare for the opportunities and challenges and even know the lucky numbers of lottery beforehand.

But for me, I don?t want to have such ?ability? at all. Life is a mystery and everyone has his own way. I enjoy the surprise of receiving gift from my classmates on my birthday and running into an old friend on the street in another city, etc. There are so many amazing incidents in my life which can?t be happen if I have the power to forecast the future.

To Forrest Gump, who was born with intellectual disturbance and muscle problem in his leg, he never imagined that he could become a famous American football player, a war hero and even a millionaire. Forrest won dignity and respect though his strive and perseverance.

I believe I can make a better life for those I love though my own effort. Have a little faith for your life. Let?s enjoy our life everyday with dignity, honesty, braveness and love just like Forrest Gump!

英语有句谚语“Repitution is the mother of skill(重复是技能之母)”。

例如 Worsworth 著名的“The Daffodils”(水仙花):“I wandered lonely as a cloud/That floats on high o'er vales and hills...”(我象一片白云孤独的游荡,飘越过溪谷和群山......)

He isn’t a good

Good morning, dear teachers and fellow students. It’s my great honor to stand here and share a happy morning with you. Today my topic is “so much to learn.”

Hello! My dear friends! Do you like reading books? I guess all of you will say yes. Am I right? Thanks to books, we have got a lot of knowledge. On the other hand, TV is another way of

getting knowledge. I still remember: last year, I watched an exciting speech on TV. It was given by American president Osama; I could feel his great charm. I admire him. Yeah, at that time I

made a decision: I try to learn English well and some day I can have a talk with him. However, it’s a pity that my English is not so perfect. What can I do? How can I do it? Ah, so much to learn. Don’t lose heart! Just do it! I say to myself aloud. If you set up your mind to learn it, you will get much knowledge. I am sure you will achieve your goal.

Ok! There is so much knowledge for us to learn to. We should do our best to learn it. We must try our best to learn it as much as possible. Because knowledge can make us be learned and wise; because knowledge can make our country develop very fast; because knowledge can make our world be in harmony. Ok! Let’s keep trying!

As you know, now I am a junior high school student. My school life is very wonderful and there are so many interesting subjects for us to learn, such as Chinese, English, maths, history, and so on. Ok, let me tell you something about my school life. I hope you will enjoy it. in my Chinese lesson, I can recite the old wise sayings: “ isn’t it a pleasure that friends come to see you from far away?” “What you know, you know; what you don’t know, you don’t know.” these words are so educational. Meanwhile, I like English very much. In my English class, I try to practice my oral English. Ok, I have a dream that some day I can travel around the world and make many foreign friends. All right! History lessons bring us much enjoyment, and I can have a talk with the great people in history, such as Confucius, QinShihuang and so on.

At last, I would like to say, we shouldn’t waste time, life is limited while knowledge is

boundless. Aha, there is so much to learn. Maybe you like reading; maybe you like singing… maybe you have a lot of other hobbies, it doesn’t matter, if you like it, just learn it. Just do it. Don’t hesitate. Knowledge is power. There is no choice but to learn. What’s more, you are never too old to learn. Am I right? My friends, open your eyes, can you see the flame of knowledge burning forever? Yeah, I can see it. I can see it clearly. Come on, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s swim in the ocean of knowledge; let’s climb on the top of knowledge. At that time, you will be a learned person with much knowledge. You will be the happiest person in the world.

That’s all. Thank you for you attention.

against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Honorable Judges, Good afternoon.

I come from one of the most lovely and attractive areas of China, the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province and I'd love to say a few words about this area that is so dear to my heart.

Guangdong Province is a magically beautiful wonderland, with endless natural treasures. The lush and green mountains are inhabited by songbirds and exotic animals; the farm land is fertile and productive, providing all of its people with wonderfully nutritious grains and all the fruits they need to be healthy and strong. The Pearl River meanders through the province and eventually comes to our beautiful seashore with crystal clear blue water, flourishing with all kinds of different fish and sea creatures. All these natural advantages help to boost the ever-expanding economy of Guangdong and increase the welfare of its people.

Guangdong is privileged to have such a beautiful landscape, with hundreds of historical sites and places of great interest to local people and foreigners alike. Our capital city, Guangzhou, is also known as “the city of flowers”. Everywhere you look you will see flourishing plants and blossoming flowers overflowing with vigor.

The people of Guagdong are very friendly to visitors from anywhere. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, Guangdong people will greet you with the only language---Guangdong dialect.

Guangdong is also known as the Chinese capital of delicious food. There is an old saying that "The only best delicacies are in Guangdong.” Food from this province is internationally famous. Its variety of tastes, shapes and colors can satisfy even the most refined palette. I'm sure, the moment you seat yourself at a Cantonese banquet, your appetite will naturally become keen and eager to taste all the numerous delicacies of the region. Here are but a few I will mention in passing: steamed fish in ginger sauce, seasoned chicken, drunken shrimp, dance fish balls, fried jellyfish, roast suckling pig or duck, braised crispy chicken or squab, shark fin soup, moon cakes, refreshments and desert, and so many more. My mouth is watering just at the sound of these wonderful dishes.

I would like you all to know that there is truly nowhere in the world I would rather live and I invite you all to come discover the hidden treasures of my hometown. I would be glad to serve as your personal guide.

Thank you all.

I can never forget the summer in . I went through an extremity of despair due to my failure in the National College Entrance Examination. It seemed that my dream of being a university student would never come true. One evening my father came and told me the story of Steven Callahan, who was crossing the Atlantic alone in his sailboat when it struck something and sank. It was a miracle that he survived and was found 76 days later(the longest anyone has survived a shipwreck on a life raft alone). Later in his narrative he wrote these sentences “I tell myself I can handle it .Compared to what others have been through I’m fortunate”.

Hearing these sentences I felt something important struck me. I belived my life would mot be that bad and it was proved to be true. Later during my study in the university I always told myself “I can handle it” when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming and every time I said it ,I always came back to my senses.

Now I work as an English teacher in a middle school. Whenever my students complain about their difficulties in study or want to give up, I will tell the same story of Callahan to them. I just want to make them believe they can handle their difficulties because their circumstances are only bad compared to something better. But others have been through much worse. Then they will build up fortitude.

So here, coming to us from the extreme edge of survival, are words that can give us strength. Whatever you’re going through, tell yourself you can handle it. Compared to what others have been through, you’re fortunate. Tell this to yourself over and over, and it will help you get through the rough spots with little more fortitude.

常与yesterday, last week, in 1989, just now, a moment ago, the other day等连用。如:

He was here just now.

What did you do yesterday?

We often played together when we were children.

He used to smoke a lot, but he doesn't now.

Whenever we were in trouble, he would help us.

At that time she was very good at English.

He said he would wait until they came back.

I wondered if you could help me.

I didn't know you were here.

He opened the door, rushed out and then disappeared.

—Your phone number again? I didn't quite catch it. —It's 2566666.

We will come to see you the day after tomorrow.

There will be a wonderful show next week.

The students will come and work in the lab once a week.

We will come and work in this factory every year.

1.I will call you this evening.

2. Students will use computers to learn in the future.

3. He will help his sister with her lessons.

4. We won't be free(空闲的) this afternoon.

5. She will not listen to me.

6.The birds won't fly away to the south when the weather turns cold.

7. There will be a strong wind soon.

8. I will not tell it to him.

9. I think it will be very hot in Beijing next summer.

10.He will use his pen and his computer.

11. Will there be heavy rain tomorrow?

时间状语: every…, sometimes, at…, on Sunday

I leave home for school at 7 every morning.

The earth moves around the sun.

Shanghai lies in the east of China.

Pride goes before a fall.

Columbus proved that the earth is round..

I don't want so much.

Ann Wang writes good English but does not speak well.

比较:Now I put the sugar in the cup.

I am doing my homework now.

Now watch me, I switch on the current and stand back.

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.
