In this summer holidays, I read a book called < Great Expectations>, it was written by Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English writers. He wrote lots of wonderful novels. This book is one of his compositions.
People always like to compare with their friends. It is a big foible of all the people. If other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. If all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. This is a social problem.
If we never posseanything, we will not mind we lost some thing. Since we don’t want to be very rich ,we will not feel despond because poor.
The protagonist of this novel is Pip (Handel). His parents died when he was a baby. His sister had brought him up ‘by hand’. His sister married to Joe Gargery, the village blacksmith. They didn’t have much money, and Pip never went to school to study. But he was often very happy .Because all of his friends are like him. It isn’t very unfortunate to them, this is their lives. But by a chance, Pip helped a convict; he gave much food to him. Then he met MiHavisham, a very strange old woman and she was very rich.
Four years later, MiHavisham wants Pip to be removed from his home and educated as a gentleman who expects inherit a fortune when he grow up.
After hearing that . Pip started to despise his poor friends. He even feel ashamed because he live with the poor man . Pip’s ‘great expectations’ destroyed his life.
This novel told us that we cannot compare with others .Don’t feel envy at the others money. And if one day you be very rich , please don’t despise your poor friends.

最近，我学了一篇海伦。凯勒的《再塑生命》，让我对生命有了更深的了解。其中主人公的求学意识令我感慨万分。谁都知道海伦生活在一个无声无光的黑暗世界里，但她却以自己惊人的意志创造了奇迹。
同样，英国的物理学家霍金一直与病魔斗争，可以说，没有霍金就没有对黑暗的研究。生命是一个神圣的名词，同时也是脆弱的，古今中外许许多多英雄豪杰与命运做抗争。因此作为一名身体有缺陷的人都可以面对生活，难道现在的我们就不可以让生命变得更有价值吗？
假如生命只有三天，我不会静静等待死亡的到来。()第一天，我会和好朋友到大海边，举行一个同学聚会或者是去逛街。第二天我会把我从小到大的故事写成一本书。或许我不一定能写完它，但这并不重要，重要的是我的一生不会像一张白纸漂来漂去，至少我的思想，我的一切不会因为死亡而结束。第三天，我会把从小到大的照片都浏览一遍，接着等待死亡的到来。

《傲慢与偏见》，一部值得细细品味的小说，一个美丽动人的故事。
文中描述了柏纳特一家几个女儿的故事。大女儿姬安，温柔善良，美丽可人，与富家子弟宾利一见倾心，却在关键时刻发生了波折。二女儿伊丽莎白，聪慧清丽，有志气，有主见，与家产万贯的贵族青年达西相识。可因为达西高傲孤僻，伊丽莎白对他存有严重的偏见，两人明明相爱却不肯承认，还不断地用言语刺痛对方，幸好最后误会冰释，有情人终成眷属。
看了这本小说，我受益匪浅。在我们这些人中，有许多很谦虚，但也有一些傲慢的人。这些傲慢的人有时的确令人讨厌，他们把眼睛长在头上，对其他人都不屑一顾。的确，傲慢是一种缺点，一种在环境下养成的性格。我们中国的孩子，从小就被父母视为掌上明珠捧着，典型的“小皇帝”。要是从小到大一直这么养尊处优，怎么会不傲慢呢?因此，我觉得我们不应该对傲慢的人产生偏见，而是该多反省自己，看看自己有没有傲慢，以后自己的事也要学会自己做，不再让父母操心，劳累了。
正如书中所说：“骄傲之心人皆有之。只要我们拥有那么一点点长处，就会觉得自己特别了不起。但其中的骄傲和虚荣虽含义相同，却实质不同，骄傲是种自我感觉，虚荣则需要牵扯到别人高估自己，所以，一个人拥有不含虚荣心的骄傲，这也是无可非议的。”

先看他怎么理书。书虫侍弄起自己心爱的书来，总是乐此不疲、甘之如饴的。二楼上新增了一个书房，于是开始搬书上架，就像蚂蚁搬家一样。“书脏，手也就脏。洗了又搬，搬一阵又洗。”不是一天两天，而是接连许多天，常常是从上午，一直干到深夜两点。1月15日这天又记:“继续把书折腾来折腾去，从下午两点到晚上一点。……把书从这个书架上搬下来，再重新归类到另外的书架上去，腾空的书架用抹布一遍一遍地擦干净。书重新上架后，再仔细打量打量，很有成就感。”他这是在干什么啊?爱书人的心思，谁能明白?还是他自己说得好:“什么叫充实?什么叫聚精会神?什么叫任劳任怨?看看彭胡子搬书就知道了。陶醉，痴迷，想象不出世界上还有什么事比这更愉快的了。排列，组合，让它们排队，给它们分班，书们真好，任我随心所欲地折腾，却不发表任何意见。

今天我读了一篇文章――《我是小书虫》，这篇文章充分地写出了作者对书的喜爱和渴望。作者读过许多许多的书，有《昆虫记》、《水浒传》、《老人与海》……数不胜数。在看书的过程中，作者对书表现得几乎是如醉如痴，常常等妈妈睡着了再起床拧开台灯看书，到第二天早上两只眼睛变得黑乎乎的，因此常受到妈妈的责怪。由于作者的博览群书，自然掌握了十分丰富的知识。

暑假，老师让我们读一本好书，我读了《做个快乐的小书虫》 ，我被主人公宝蓝和林熙那种乐于助人、坚持爱读书的精神深深感动了。
这篇文章主要说了喜欢读书的一对好朋友，谁知被“横空出世”的媛静给“插足”了。爱美的媛静不爱看书，为了挽救两个好朋友，宝蓝拉着他们参加“读书王”比赛，他和林熙，媛静组成“读书三剑客”来对付民俊，在老师的帮助下，结果却出乎意料。民俊赢了，媛静也真正懂得了阅读的重要。
这篇文章使我深深体会到了：好习惯贵在坚持，阅读是人类进步阶梯。如果我们能将兴趣内化为精神力量，日积月累就会养成真正良好的习惯，如战国时期吕蒙，开始也是大老粗，但自从有了阅读习惯后，吕蒙就成了一个文学家，他每天手不释卷。由此看出好习惯的重要性，毛主席每天日理万机，还抽出时间读书，我也要养成阅读的好习惯，每天抽出时间阅读。
