起初，主人公表现的与其他犯人没有两样，只是一直比较沉默寡言。然而，不再沉默中爆发，就在沉默中灭亡。孰知这长久的沉默是为那最后瞬间的爆发而积蓄着巨大的能量。主人公凭借自己的聪明才智给监狱长洗钱而受到重用，而后又坚持每周给监狱上级写信，要求拨款在监狱建图书馆。在坚持了几年的每周写信后，监狱上级终于同意拨款建图书馆。就这样，主人公一步一步，悄无声息的实施着自己的计划，终于在一个雷雨交加的黑夜，主人公终于冲破了监禁他的监狱。。当监狱长看到那幅画底下的那个大窟窿时，一切都真相大白了。观众无不为主人公的聪明智慧所折服，真是大快人心!

要想成功，自然是需要很多很多的汗水，但天赋却只需要一点点甚至根本不需要，真正的成功者，真正的智者，对这一点理解的特别透彻。
