值得注意的是，基本不读书者在回答原因时，选择“没时间”的占43.7％，选择“不习惯”的占29.1％，其中近一半的是十八九岁的青年。

而北京市统计局一项针对双休日上网情况调查则给出了这样一个判断，“学生学历越高上网时间越长”。其中研究生每天人均上网时间为96.2分钟，本科生为82.6分钟，大专生为71.9分钟，高中生为70.4分钟，中专生为35.3分钟，初中生为26.3分钟，技校生为18.5分钟，小学生为3.2分钟。
汤教授在北京某高校教授现当代文学，他发现如今本应“以念书为己任”的学生，真正把时间用在读书上的很少，结果，上学和读书成了两码事。
一次，他和一位辅导员去文学院的学生宿舍转了一圈，发现宿舍里每台电脑都开着，学生们一个个都坐在电脑前面全神贯注地打游戏，即使少数看书的同学也只是在网上看一些玄幻武侠小说。

网络成瘾更重要的危害是：1、将网络中虚拟的角色带到现实生活中来，并用消极的态度去对待这青春的生活，这就是是角色的混乱。2、我们平时在网络世界中是无拘无束，放纵自己的，而且有些思想不正当的青少年会比较容易在网络游戏，黄色网络中放纵自己的欲望，这就是道德感的弱化。3、青少年人都长期沉迷于网络中时，会对身边的事缺少兴趣，和同龄人之间的交往减少，产生闭锁心理，这就是人格的异化。4、在我们的身边就有一些人因为迷恋网络而无心学习，学习成绩不好，产生失望心理，对学习有很强的挫折感，这就是学习的挫折。5、对于正在发育成长时期的我们更是危害不言而喻，有的人因为经常沉迷网络而没有进行适当的运动，身体抵抗力差，更严重导致猝死，这就是对健康的损害。
从这些惨痛教训的例子里，我们可以从中吸取教训。在控制不了自己的时候，要坚决地对网络说“不”或者在没网络成瘾时，要适当地去上网并且要是合法的遵守青少年网络规则，让我们的身心不受到网络的危害。
在这里我要呼吁广大青少年们不要网络成瘾！

我横躺在客厅的沙发上，紧盯着手机屏幕，对妈妈喊我吃饭的声音充耳不闻，嘴里还不耐烦的说着“知道了，你们先吃别管我，等我打完这一把……”妈妈摇了摇头，实在是管不动我。半小时，一小时，两小时……时间不知不觉的流逝，我打了一把又一把，可就是没停下来，书包扔在地上，课本散落在四周，只剩下我打游戏的音效和电视的背景声。
“玩游戏又怎么了？碍到谁的事了吗？”
听到这几句话，我不由得一阵烦躁，像是被戳穿了一样。“沉迷”二字砸在了我的心头，便想赶紧关掉电视。可接下来出现的人让我有了兴趣，使我放下了遥控器。
“……本台为此请来了著名穿越者邹忌先生，请他以从古至今所经历的类似玩物丧志的事情的经验来谈一下对游戏的看法——青少年能不能玩游戏？青少年该怎样玩游戏？”邹忌向观众点头示意后，接过话筒。“我认为青少年是可以适当的玩游戏的，消遣娱乐都是可以有的。就比如在我们战国时期，士大夫们都爱斗鸡投壶，适当的玩乐也可被称为雅致，雅兴。”
“但我并不认同当今的一些青少年的过度游戏。曾经，我爱斗鸡，与达官贵人们斗鸡，最开始的时候我只为在处理政事之余娱乐一下，与城东的李公互相斗鸡玩乐。有一天，李公来找我斗鸡，他带着他新买的鸡大败我的鸡。他笑眯眯地对我说，‘成侯，您家的这只鸡太弱了，可比不上我的这一只！哈哈哈……’我心中一阵不舒服，暗暗下定决心一定要找到一只胜过他的鸡，可我平时政事繁多，没时间寻鸡找鸡，于是我把政事推了一些，四处寻鸡。”
“终于我找到了，大败了李公的鸡，我得意洋洋的回家，发现各类的杂物政事堆积在桌上。我不眠不休三天，终于处理完了。等我处理完后，李公又来了，拿出来了新鸡与我一斗，我又来了兴致跑去跟他斗鸡，输了后又去寻找更厉害的鸡。政事从三天堆积到六天、十二天……。当我精疲力尽的坐在椅子上，看着堆积如山的工作，看着铜镜中瘦骨嶙峋的自己，我简直不敢相信那是我——身高八尺，容貌秀美的邹忌。（虽然比不上徐公）”
“我醒悟了，斗鸡的开始我是为了娱乐，可越到后来却越失去了本心。“娱乐”到人不人，鬼不鬼，内心更是空虚。我下定决心痛改前非，面对李公的胜利，也只是洒脱一笑，再不将生活的重心放在斗鸡上。”
“所以，我想对所有正在观看节目的青少年们说，玩游戏没有问题，可你们要知道游戏是生活的组成部分，而生活不是游戏的组成部分，我们掌控游戏，可不要被游戏掌控了生活。这样就反而失去了原本娱乐的心态。”
节目结束后，我呆呆的坐在沙发上看了看散落四周的课本，望了望已经漆黑的天空，不由得一阵悔恨。空旷的客厅、寂静的四周、漆黑的夜晚，相加起来使我内心更加的空虚。我赶忙放下手机，捡起散落的课本作业，去将我因游戏而错失的生活弥补。

例如：胡安戈是遂宁射洪县人，父亲胡明是当地某企业领导。20xx年，20岁的胡安戈从绵阳某大专院校成人教育学校毕业，之后留在成都并沉迷网络，3个月就将父母给他做生意的5万元全用来购买了网络游戏“传奇”的装备。感到无颜面对父母，小青年胡安戈竟荒唐地选择毒杀父母。一审法院以故意杀人罪判处他死刑。
再例如：20xx年6月5日，高桥藕缆桥一快餐店老板娘惨死店中。6月10日，凶手落网，这名19岁的少年杀人动机竟是为了抢劫上网的费用，作案前他已在网吧连续奋战近一周，抢钱杀人后他又回到了网吧，继续网络游戏。
看到网络那么的具有危害性，你还敢碰它吗？其实网络可不可怕在于自己怎样使用，网络是人类发展史来最重要的发明，因为它提高了科技和人类社会的发展。只要妥善的使用，利远远大于弊，反之，只会自食其果。

现在，互联网技术的迅猛发展与广泛应用，推动了全球政治、经济与文化等方面的信息交流和资源共享。但互联网传播的广泛性、迅捷性和互动性等特点，也给网络不良信息滋生和蔓延提供了土壤与空间。网络有害信息传播不同程度地侵害了人们的权益，影响青少年身心健康发展，扰乱了互联网发展秩序，甚至危害民族团结、社会稳定和国家安全。所以我们不应该随便相信“网友”，应该文明上网。
