李：孩子在三年级以前，父母要选择注重培养兴趣的英语班。四年级以后要让孩子参加一个教学效果好的语音速成班。因为语音是是学好语言的基础，是要伴随孩子一生的工具，很重要。语音过关以后，再找一种固定的能让孩子感兴趣的辅导班就可以，比如新概念、剑桥英语等，不要频繁地变换。我个人的体会是剑桥英语适合小学三年级以下的孩子。四年级以上的孩子学新概念比较合适，新概念一册适合小学四至六年级的学生，二册的短文的很适合中学生，对培养阅读写作很有好处。今年我教的初三毕业班，在中考(微博)前我就每天让学生背诵和抄写一篇新概念第二册的课文，对学生的英语短文写作是有帮助的。结果最后这个班的中考英语成绩平均108分。
现在很多孩子参加公共英语考级，我觉得如果语音不过关，孩子背那么多单词，会感到非常困难。所以我强调，一定要先语音过关再学别的。此外，我觉得让中小学生参加考级孩子压力太大，如果学校办英语实验班，自行考试选拔就可以了，何必非要证书呢?关键是要培养孩子的英语听说和实际运用语言的能力。公共英语都是很成人化的文章和词汇，很枯燥，很多课文翻译成中文孩子都读不懂，更不要说是英文了。因此我认为公共英语并不适合孩子学习。小学生学公共英语会造成孩子对英语学习的恐惧感，从而失去对英语的学习兴趣。
