看着妈妈离去的背影，我的心里涌起一阵阵的恐惧。整整一个下午，我都在忐忑不安的心情中度过，我知道，妈妈回来后，肯定会对我发动暴风雨般地“袭击”。窗处，是一片可怕的寂静。
“砰砰……”一阵敲门声惊醒了我杂乱的思绪。肯定是妈妈来了，这下我死定了!此时，屋子里已经暗了下来，我怀着紧张的心情用颤抖的手开了门，却看见妈妈满脸堆笑。顿时，我有些如坠五里雾中。妈妈一踏进门槛就兴奋地对我说：“xxx呀，今天下午开家长会时，老师一直在表扬你，说你活泼开朗，乐于助人……。”
“真的吗?”我惊讶地问。
“真的，”妈妈和蔼地说，“老师还希望你能再接再励，不要骄傲，更上一层楼呢!”
我听了后，信以为真，同时也感觉到屋子也一下子亮了许多。第二天早晨，我高兴地背着书包去上学，上课时也认真听讲，积极发言，瞬间里觉得学习并不是那么令人痛苦的差使，而是乐趣多多。
日月如梭，岁月似箭。转眼间，我小学就顺利地毕业了，成绩是三个“a”。暑假的一天，我去班主任老师家玩，无意中提起了那次家长会，老师语重心长地说：“那次家长会上，我一直都在批评你，可你第二天的表现，却很出乎我的意料……”
“什……什……么，您一直在批评我?”我诧异地问。于是，我就把实情告诉了老师，老师听了后也很诧异，继而陷入了沉思。可此时的我却是百思不得其解，不知道妈妈为什么要那样做。
直到今天，我才明白妈妈的良苦用心――那是妈妈赐予我的一个美丽的谎言。
