语法是语言的两大支柱之一，因此历年试题均要对语法进行一定程度的考查。考虑到研究生入学考试的选拔性质，试题必须有一定难度，但难度又不会太大，因此常见的考查模式是以一个复杂的题干考查一个基本语法，或是用一个简单题干考查一个特殊语法现象。以复杂题干去考查特殊语法的情况比较罕见，因为难度太大。由于试题题型调整后取消了单独的语法与词汇项目，所以对这一块的考查力度相对降低了不少，但在完形填空、翻译题型中还有出现，而阅读理解和作文实际上也在进行间接考查。
2)基本词法、词形词意的辨析和词汇的特殊搭配

考研英语说到底，还是应试性质的，虽然其在考察侧重点上较之大学英语四六级考试要更注重对考生英语运用能力的考察。所谓真题，即是历年的考察所在，其出题模式、风格、考察重点等，一方面会秉承一定的规律与特点，与此同时，虽然每年的题目不会重复，但是所考察知识点的重复性却是极高的。由此，对英语复习从真题入手，在真题中研究以求规律，最后从真题中总结升华。对真题的透彻把握，不仅能全面地了解考试，而且进一步讲，善于利用者会经过这一过程后，站在出题者的高度进行思维。试想，如果能与命题者的思路相通，那么必定是出你所想，考你所知，从而在考研英语中必定会大获全胜。
2?如何科学高效地利用真题
首先，准备近几年内的真题，一般来说近5年的就足够了，过于早的试题一方面题型上变化过大，另一方面内容过时，不足以表现新近的命题特点。
其次，何时开始做真题。这一问题上，我们认为没有必要在复习一开始就从真题入手，在没有充分的准备前就接触真题，很容易造成对考研英语的阴影认识，产生畏惧甚至厌恶心理。比较成功的经验是，在距考试还有两个月，即前两轮复习基本结束，有了一定的功底之后进行。在考前，至少要将真题认认真真做两遍，两遍之间的间隔时间最好为两周以上，以避免对答案的记忆。

很多人谈起考研复习，通常都会比较关注如何安排复习计划、如何选择复习资料。但是我觉得首要的任务是做好充足的心理准备。从某种意义上来说，这比上面的那些具体的问题更加重要。考研的过程不仅是对知识的考核，更是对心理素质的严峻考验。从某种意义上讲，心理素质的过硬比成绩更重要。考研复习的漫长而枯燥的过程，考试前一段时间的焦虑与期待，考试时候的兴奋与紧张，等待成绩时的望眼欲穿，成绩公布后或喜或悲的心情，都是对心理素质的全面考验。
由于种种原因，总有不少人考不上，但是只要在整个准备、考试、等待的过程中，经受住了考验，使得自己的心理素质能够得到提高，学会如何面对孤独、如何面对压力、如何在胜负关头不会患得患失，对自己今后的人生路将有莫大的好处。从这个角度上将，考研没有失败者――只要你真心的付出过!我第一次考研的时候，准备得比这一次要充分的多(当时是应届，这次是在职)。但是考试前过大压力打垮了我，总是在担心万一考不上怎么办，试卷会不会很难。考试那几天争夜整夜睡不着觉，躺在床上不断地告诉自己一定要睡着，但是翻来覆去怎么也睡不着。昏昏沉沉的上了考场，开始时连笔都哆嗦的抓不住。感觉大脑一片空白，什么题目都不会做了，结果自然是大败而回。但是工作的这两年让我逐渐感觉到，考研的失败并不是生活的终结、末日的来临。它只不过是我们生活中的一段罢了，日子该过还是要过。这一次的复习从开始到结束，我的心情都平静得很，把全副的精力都放在书本上，而不是无聊的考虑万一。结果准备没有上次充分，考的成绩却好得多。我觉得这是考研赐予我的最大的礼物，也是我这两次考研得的最大收获。
因为我的英语成绩我觉得还算是不错的，并且在复习方面我也感觉有许多经验要与大家分享。所以下面着重讲讲我的英语复习经验。
如果你的'英语基础不是很好，在大学也没有认真地学过，那么，time to act!因为英语是一门需要长时间投入的科目。短期投入是无法取得明显效果的。争取通过大半年的时间解决英语。要知道，到了最后阶段，政治、数学模拟、专业课都需要大量的记忆，如果能够早点解决英语，到时候只需要做点练习保持水平就可以了，压力会小不少。
其实我认为英语是一个长期的积累过程，单纯的依靠某几本书可能解决不了什么大的问题，比如说阅读、语法、听力，都不存在什么一劳永逸的宝典。因此市面上一些大而全的复习全书我认为都没有什么必要。实在想买一本的话朱泰祺的那本可以考虑，但老朱的听力今年好像出的非常简单，难度上与考试要求有不小的差距，大家可要小心了。
学习英语，首要问题就是单词了。我建议准备词汇书。这样的书主要就是帮助强记单词，确保你在阅读理解的时候看到单词都能够认识，而且通常薄一点的书有助于建立起背完它的信心。按照字母顺序背单词的好处在于不会有什么遗漏，缺点是无法按照义群来掌握单词，同义词、反义词、派生词之间缺乏联系。然后再准备本常见的那种词典式的词汇书，前面的词汇书对于单词通常都只有简单的释疑，缺少详细的解释、例句。在深入理解的时候应该有这么一本书，这样有助于对单词的全面深入掌握。当然，如果你愿意查字典的话这种词汇书也可以不要(我还是推荐用字典)。
对于阅读，没什么可说的，大量的阅读是唯一的办法。一些精读的资料用来提高自己对于各种长句、难句的理解还是可以的。如果你连那么难的句子都能够看得明白，里面的结构都能够能清楚，阅读考研的那些句子还是问题吗?对于书里面的文章，不要过分的看重书后的习题和答案，主要还是提高自己的阅读能力。。
至于写作和听力，如果大家要想得到高分，还是应该扎扎实实的打好基础。写作现在有不少的速成型的书籍，介绍什么万能作文和十句话作文法。对于一些平时写得比较少的同学快速的上手很有帮助，作用是帮助你在短时间内将作文的架子搭起来。但是我还是建议平时多练习作文。不仅因为作文分数很高，20分呢;而且经常的写作文有助于英文水平的提高，和汉语的道理其实是一样，通常汉语作文写得好的人水平也比较的高)。
模拟题方面我觉得不妨一开始每隔半个月做一份，最后阶段每个星期做一分。严格按照时间来，做完后认真的自己讲评试卷，最后阶段把自己做过的试卷拿出来再看一看就可以了，推荐张锦芯的，比较接近真题，对于考试体验很有帮助。当然，历年真题是少不了的，一定要做!尤其是感觉对阅读理解感到摸不着思路得更是要反复琢磨其中的题目。

在近些年的阅卷中，发现考生在写作中很少使用被动语态，也许是受中文思维的影响，几乎整篇文章都使用主动语态。其实在英文中，被动语态的使用是很重要的。因为英语是一门客观的语言，而汉语是主观的语言，具体体现在英语中经常用被动语态，汉语经常用主动语态;英语中经常用物称或形式主语开头，强调一件事发生在什么人身上，而汉语经常用人称开头强调一个人发生了什么事。所以使用被动语态符合英语的习惯，如果能将整个文章中两个句子变成被动语态，就会呈现句型的变化，使整个文章句型丰富。例如在2006年的高考中，很多学生在表达我们每次可以借五本书最多借十天时，都是用：We can borrow five books at most, and we can keep them for ten days.这句话如果写成：At most five books can be borrowed at a time and they can be kept for ten days，分数会更高。
分词结构不能少
在前文提到，在书面表达中老师喜欢看到的高级语法共有五种：倒装，强调，从句，独立主格和分词结构，以及虚拟语气。在所有的高级语法中，阅卷老师最喜欢看到的是独立主格和分词结构，其次是剩下的几项。但很多学生不知道如何在文章中使用这个最大的亮点。其实几乎所有的状语从句都可以变成独立主格或分词结构，时间状语从句，原因状语，条件状语等。例如条件状语从句：If such is the case, you should apologize to her. 如何变成独立主格或分词结构呢?学会下面的口诀，如果你的作文中有状语从句，马上可改成独立主格或分词结构这个最大的亮点。
口诀：一去，二看，三改。一去：去连词;二看：看主语;三改：改分词。
If such is the case, you should apologize to her.按照这个口诀来改，第一步，去掉连词if;第二步，看前后两句话的主语，前后主语不一致，所以要改成独立主格;第三步，改分词，is 变成分词是being，所以最后变成Such being the case, you should apologize to her.就变成了独立主格。如果前后两句话主语一致，就变成分词结构，例如2005年高考书面表达中的一句话Because I am a student, I’d like to know the price for students. 改成Being a student, I’d like to know the price for students.其他想表达状语从句的时候几乎都一样。所以想表达由于，因为，如果等都写成独立主格或分词结构会让阅卷老师多给几分。
总之，高考的书面表达重在设计，如何设计出让阅卷老师看了眼前一亮的句子，写出有分词，倒装，强调，修辞的句子，使整篇文章句型丰富，不单一，有效的使用连接成分使文章连贯，方能在高考中拿到高分。
