深夜，整个世界都变得安静下来，就连那霓虹灯也闭上了笑脸。这时，那些破坏环境的捣蛋鬼们乘着人们不在，出来举行舞会啦！正当他们跳地欢的时候，一个个他们的克星似乎对他们有心灵感应似的出现在了眼前。那群小鬼还没来得及尖叫，就已经成为了清洁队员们的战利品。这时，大街总算可以睡一个安稳觉了，伴随着一片寂静，沉沉地入睡了，也许是因为一天的忙碌吧，睡得特别香……

“切，真是烦！不就是管你借了二十块钱吗？都说了没带，回头再还！”小王说完后转身就走了，一点都不给别人骂回来的机会。
来要钱的小胖像傻了一样在街边站着，胖胖的脸上有了一副失望的表情，心里也是一万个不舒服！失望加生气的小胖随口来了一句：“什么人呀，一点感恩的心都没有！”谁知小王的“顺风耳”又听见了，还回了一句：“你才是！小气得要死！”小胖也就不敢再说了，加快了脚步回家了。
当天晚上小王和小胖各自在家里睡着了，却被眼前发光的小人儿吵醒了，两个人被小人儿带走了。虽然两个小人儿都发着光，可又大不一样。小王的小人儿是发着黑光的，煞气逼人；小胖的小人儿是发着金光的，显得和蔼可亲。小王的世界是黑压压的一片，地上还有一个通体红色的人格外显眼；小胖的周围则是美丽的绿草和蓝天。
小王惊讶不已，他回过神来马上对小黑人喊：“喂，这是哪里？你是什么东西呀？那个红人是谁？”“闭嘴！我就是地狱使者，这里是地下监狱，专门惩罚罪人的地方。至于红人，你自己看呀！”小王定睛一看，发现那不正是自己吗？自己正在承受火焰绕身之痛，简直不忍直视。这下可给小王吓到了！地狱使者小黑人儿又开口了：“听说你没有感恩之心？让我把你的心拿出来看一看……”与此同时，旁观的小金人儿（天堂使者）对小胖说：“我们要惩罚小王了，你想要怎样惩罚那个没有感恩之心的人？”小胖回答到：“你能放过他吗？因为他也帮过我！”天堂使者小金人儿、地狱使者小黑人儿一齐点了点头，向小王走来……
小王吓出一身冷汗，猛然惊醒了，他看了看自己的身体，还好是完好无损的，赶紧找小胖去道歉了。从此以后，小王也知道感恩了。
