Some people enjoy living together with their parents after they have grown up. They hold the opinion because, living with parents , they can take better care of their parents and vice versa. Meanwhile, they can turn to their parents for help if they get into trouble or have some difficulties. To them, life in a big family seems to be more enjoyable than that in a small family.
Others, however, prefer to live separately. They cherish the idea to be independent of their parents, seek more freedom and wish to have a place of their own, in which they can do what they like. Besides, they don’t want to be overprotected by their parents but long for chance to face the society by themselves.
As to me, I like an independent life style in spite of the fact I love my parents. Different generations have different life styles and values. What one generation likes may not be another generation’s fondness. Living separately, each generation can enjoy different value. In addition, by leading an independent life, I can train my character and develop my own ability to deal with things encountered in my life.

目录外形特征分布范围生活习性繁殖期收缩展开外形特征B是灵猫科B属的通称，是一些长身、长尾而四肢短的动物。 食蟹B体长40～80厘米，尾长27～33厘米；吻细尖，尾尾基粗大，全身浅灰棕色混杂，四肢棕黄。 狐B每只脚有四个脚趾，站起来约有25到30厘米，平均重约700克。尾巴长细呈锥状，约20厘米。 鉴别特征体重约2～3公斤。自口角经颊部、颈侧向后到肩部各有一条白色纵纹。针毛粗长，毛尖白色，次端以下黑色与棕黄色相间。 外形：食蟹B成体一般为2公斤左右，最大可达3公斤。鼻吻尖长，耳短小。颈短而粗，体躯稍粗壮，略似扁圆形。尾基部粗大，向尾末端逐渐尖细。四肢短矮，各具五趾，第一趾爪较短小，第三、四趾和爪甚长而尖锐。肛门两侧有一对肛门腺，有腺孔可放出臭气。 毛色：体毛和尾毛均甚粗长而蓬松，稍似棕蓑。吻部及眼周围的短毛棕褐色；颊、额、头顶及耳朵均被黑色的短毛。自口角经颊部，颈侧向后直到肩部各有一条白色纵纹，其毛尖端灰白色，中段黑褐色，基部为棕黄色。体背针毛黑色与棕色相间，有些部位黑色与灰白色或浅灰棕色相间。体部绒毛棕褐色。尾后半段被毛棕黄色，老年B尾端毛色明显变白。四肢短毛棕褐色，杂有棕黄色毛尖。 头骨：头骨枕部颇高，后脑较宽阔。吻部短而钝，眶下孔位于第三上臼齿上，眶上突和颧骨眶突都发达，但只有个别成年和老年标本两骨汇合形成一骨质眼环。颅顶颞嵴不甚发达，只有老年标本的颞嵴比较明显。头骨枕部上面的矢状嵴和人字嵴汇合处不显著向上突出。听泡前半部低，后半部明显膨胀。 牙齿：齿突高而尖利，第三门齿大于第一、二门齿。上裂齿前端内侧齿尖甚发达，其后部则形成一斜形的齿棱，第一上臼齿内侧有一个比外侧齿突还发达的原齿尖。第二上臼齿较退化。总的齿形与红颊B相似。

生活习性B以吃蛇为主，也猎食蛙、鱼、鸟、鼠、蟹、蜥蜴、昆虫及其他小型哺乳动物。 B是毒蛇的天敌，它们不仅有与蛇搏斗的本领，而且自身也具有对毒液的抵抗力。 狐B的毛皮颜色会随气候变化而改变：时而变为灰色、褐色或棕色，时而身披银白色与深色相间的条纹。 喜栖于山林沟谷及溪水旁，多利用树洞、岩隙作窝。早晨或黄昏出洞觅食。经常雌雄相伴，有互相救助的习性。母兽携幼仔出游时，常发出咕咕叫声在前引导。嗅觉异常灵敏，当发现地下有蚯蚓、昆虫幼虫时，立即用前爪和吻鼻端拱土挖掘。春天时常到翻耕过的田地里寻食，冬季则到草堆中搜猎，食物包括蛇、蛙、蟹、鱼、小鸟和多种昆虫，亦能爬树采食鸟卵。爪哇B体型略小，为著名的`食蛇动物。动作迅如闪电，能不停地向蛇进攻。 当然B类因受体型、体力的限制，对付蝮蛇、眼镜蛇等毒蛇尚绰绰有余，当遇到眼镜王蛇或蟒蛇这类更凶猛的对手时，就难以对付了，最好的办法就是逃之夭夭。 活动：日间活动。早晨和黄昏是活动的两次高潮，中午较少外出觅食。据广东昆虫研究所动物室的野外观察记录（1975年3月）“几乎每天早晨5～7时及黄昏17～19时均可见到B在田间或溪边觅食。食蟹B常常雌雄相伴或带幼仔外出活动，觅食时亦相距不远。如果一方受惊或受伤发出尖声呼叫，另一方常闻声前往探视。因此，猎人往往利用这一特点连续猎杀两头。带幼仔出外觅食的母兽，常边走边发出咕咕的叫声，有如母猪带猪仔，故有些地方称此兽为“吻田猪”。 B在田间或潮湿的草地上活动，以寻找昆虫之类的小动物。它拖着蓬松的长尾，用鼻吻在地面各处探索。当灵敏的嗅觉发现地下有蚯蚓或昆虫幼虫等食物时，立即用鼻吻和前爪挖掘，连掘带扒，吻和爪协同动作，十分迅速，片刻便可挖出食物。因此，在它们经常活动的地方，可见许多被挖掘地下昆虫后形成的小洞。洞宽5～8厘米，几乎呈圆筒形，深可达20厘米。 它们在田间或溪河边活动，必留下许多足迹。足印略似小灵猫的足迹，但趾印较长，爪印比较明显。观察足迹可推想它们的大致活动情况。春天，当农田进行犁耙耕作的时候，B便经常到田间活动，觅食被耙翻出的小动物。冬天，堆放在田野间的草堆，藏着各种昆虫和小动物，便成了B觅食的好地方。冬旱水浅，河溪两边也常可发现B的足迹。 食性：解剖B胃，见有蛇、蛙、鸟的羽毛和各种昆虫幼虫，软体动物等。从烟油黑色的B粪中，也可见到蟹壳、蛇和鱼鳞、鸟类的羽毛和昆虫的驱壳，尤其蛇鳞出现的次数较多。可见B的食性比较复杂，但以各种小型动物为主食。除吃上述动物外，还捕食虾、泥鳅、蚯蚓、田螺、蝼蛄、金龟子幼虫等。据了解，广州动物园饲养的食蟹B，若许久不饲喂活蛇，便显出精神不振，喂给蛇后又恢复常态。异常活跃。由此看来，蛇是B的重要食物。 狐B基本上是食虫动物，也就是说它们的食物主要包括各种昆虫。当然，狐B也不会拒绝小型哺乳动物、蛇、蛇蛋、鸟、幼鸟、蛆，甚至是毒蝎――它们近乎完美的捕蝎技巧足以避开蝎子的毒液。 每天的大部分时间里，狐B都在用嗅觉十分敏锐的鼻子搜寻食物。一旦发现，便立即吃掉。它们的食物中大约有82%的昆虫，7%的蜘蛛、3%的蜈蚣、3%的千足虫、2%的爬行动物和2%的鸟类[来源：美国密歇根大学]。卡拉哈里沙漠有些区域水源十分匮乏，但狐B却能从植物的块茎或根部找到水份。 狐B的领地性很强，而领地的面积则主要由族群大小、食物数量和水源储量等因素决定。但这些领地通常都是暂时性的，一旦此处的食物资源开始枯竭，或者被更强大的族群赶走，它们就会马上转移阵地。群落中的统治者，也就是雄性首领负责划清领地范围，保护族群不受竞争者或天敌的侵袭。 狐B在自己的领地内挖洞建造家园。它们通过团队合作来建造或是改善栖息地。这些地穴都是精心建造的居室。尽管狐B们有能力亲自挖掘洞穴（它们尖锐的爪子非常适合挖掘），但它们往往会与非洲的松鼠或黄猫鼬共享一室，有时还会与某种甲虫共用。狐B不吃这种甲虫，而它们则很乐意食用狐B留下的垃圾。 这些洞穴通常都有数个洞口，散布在地面上的不同位置。迷宫一样的隧道连接着地穴和其他的洞口。地穴通常起到保护作用、可供狐B繁衍生息。除了几个主要洞口以外，还会有若干入口和通道分布在领地四处，以供躲避风险。当狐B们在远离主要洞口觅食时，这些小洞尤其重要。 除了这套洞穴系统以外，狐B还会布设岗哨来保卫族群安全。每当族群出去寻找食物，或进行其他日常活动时，总会留下一只狐B轮换站岗，防范猎食者来袭。一旦有天敌或其他危险情况出现，担当哨兵的狐B便发出特殊的叫声来提醒所有同伴，就跟鸣笛示警的道理一样。这是套很有效的预警系统，一份研究报告指出，狐B哨兵能够发现150米以外的天敌，成功率在77%左右。
繁殖期繁殖：妊娠期50～60天，每胎有2-5仔。广东省龙门县曾有人分别见过一头母B带5头幼仔和4头幼仔。母兽给小兽喂奶就像母猪给小猪喂奶，侧躺着身子，小仔爬在地上吸吮。 幼崽出生后，至少在10天以内都张不开眼睛和耳朵，浑身没有毛发。因此除母亲以外的其他成员要在洞里轮流照顾幼崽，好让母亲可以出去寻找食物。要等到它们长到3周大后，才有可能出洞。
