小升初英语测评是考核学生英语水平的综合测试，分为笔试和口试两种形式，此类测评的结果是成功迈入名校初中的重要标准。要在小升初英语入学测评中出类拔萃，重在英语五大能力的提高——即词汇、听力、阅读、语法和口语能力。
第一部分：词汇
词汇的学习是英语学习中最基础也是最重要的部分。没有充足的词汇量为基础，任何人都不可能自由的使用英语进行沟通和交流。目前小学英语课本四会词汇的总量在 810个左右，
而四会要求的短语结构在145个左右。面对这么多的词汇要如何有效的去记忆呢?有些同学十分烦恼地说：“我每天都很努力地背诵，但常常是今天背明天忘，似乎效果很差。”
我们先来看看同学们平时背记单词的一些常用方法：
1、大声朗读，边读边写。一遍一遍重复，但收效甚微。读完了写完了，背了什么也忘记了。
2、花大量时间制作精美的单词卡，将英语单词和中文意思写在同一张卡片上，随时拿出来读记。但由于单词本身过于零散，缺少前后的联系或相关性，很难熟练的记住大量的单词。

这些方法的使用因人而异，具体不能说哪个方法完全不好，每个同学都有自己独特的记忆单词的方法。这里我们探讨的是有效的有用的方式方法。笔者要提出的是，不要忘记万事万物之间都存在一定的联系。单词也不例外。尝试去找到一种你自己感兴趣的方式记忆单词，将背记单词的“苦差事”变成乐趣，不但能大大提高记忆速度而且必定增强你学习英语的兴趣。下面简单罗列几种单词记忆的策略：
1、书本知识还原法，可以用来记忆名词。小学英语课本中，名词除了人名以外，大部分都是来源于生活。可以尝试将这些名词挑选出来，放到自己熟悉的'环境中，例如学校，家庭，公园等地方，一一对号来记忆。纸上的符号一下子就变得生动而具体了。
2、词汇自然联系法，可以用来记忆形容词。形容词是用来描绘事物的性质与特征的。当你学习形容词时不妨联系它的反义词一起来记忆。例如：white – black, dark – bright 等。
