I feel so happy to have the chance to make a speech. The title of my speech is Protect the Environment, Protect Ourselves. I hope you will like it.

Everybody knows waste pa-pe-r and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. You might have seen plastic bags flying in the sky and getting caught in the trees when the wind blows or maybe you have seen old cans floating in the rivers and polluting the water. Our environment is the place in which we live, but it is being ruined by us.

There is a story about house and trees. It is said that a man’s house was surrounded by a lot of trees. Though the wind was strong, that man could have a good rest under the trees. How comfortable the life was! One day, that man wanted to enlarge his house, so he cut down all the trees. Then the autumn came without the protection. The strong wind blew the roof of the house into the sky. The whole house was gone with the wind. What a pity! But that’s the price people have to pay for destroying in the ecology balance. People shouldn’t be short-sighted. Protecting the environment is everyone’s task.

As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology. In some big cities, we can limit the number of cars. Secondly, we can try to use lewater and make sure that we do not pollute the water. We can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers. Thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities. We can pick up rubbish if we see it. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.

7. Eye contact: Creating a personal rapport with your audience is a skill that separates gifted speakers from the mundane. If the thought of looking into a sea of faces scares you, adjust your gaze regularly at different points in the room to create the same effect.

8. First impression: Your initial impression is vital when making a public presentation. Find out about dress codes at the venue so that you look your best and, if possible, check the microphone beforehand to ensure you know how to use it.

9. Vary tone and body language: Monotony kills a speech. Nerves cause your vocal chords to restrict, raising the pitch of your voice. Make an effect to breathe deeply and enunciate clearly. Plopping your arms down will distract your listeners but natural, descriptive movements can enhance meaning.

If you follow the simple suggestions above, you would find that a public speaking or presentation is just a piece of cake. Once it’s done, you may find that it’s a enjoyable process so that you may have desire to make more speeches.

①. 问候天气，然后转入正题。

②. 寒暄。如：Good morning!I’m very glad stand here and give you a talk.

③. 开门见山。如：Good morning!Today I stand here to talk about…

有了好的开头，在演讲稿中，为了调动大家的激情，可以多运用排比句，在这点上美国的著名演讲家：Martin Luther King,Jr.可以称的上是专家。

2.演讲稿写好后，你应该背过它，这是最起码的要求!因为如果拿着稿子去演讲的话，听众大都会认为你准备不充分，一开始就无法被你的内容所吸引。同时，这也会给别人一个信号：你的信心不充足。所以，背过它，背的滚瓜烂熟!这才能保证别人会被你吸引住。
