针对以上的这些命题走势分析，我们广大福建考生应做好以下应对策略：“一个中心”、“两个基本点”、“三个把握”。
一.“一个中心”：以原文内容为中心
在高考阅读理解中，很多考生都有这样一个误区，那就是：表层的细节题可以直接在原文中找到答案，深层的主旨题、释义题和推断题就必须依靠自身越庞大越好的词汇量去概括总结，推理升华才能得出正确答案，而往往通过这种方式得出的答案似乎总是和出题者的思路有所偏差，进而在阅读部分频频失分。实际上，不论是对表层信息还是深层含义的考察，都是紧扣原文内容的，每一道题的正确答案都隐藏在原文的字里行间，必须做到“不可一字无来历”。要做到这一点，就必须学会将题目关键词（人名，时间，地点，特殊动词等）在原文中进行精确定位，正确答案就隐藏在这些关键词在原文中出现的地方。由此我们建议广大考生采取先读题干再看原文的答题策略，同时养成动笔标注关键词的习惯，这样才能目标明确，同时提高答题速度和正确率。
二.“两个基本点”：词汇+语法
不可否认，词汇量的高低直接影响到阅读的速度和理解。要达到每分钟60个单词的阅读速度，没有一定数量的词汇作为保证是不可能的事情。建议广大考生把现行的高考大纲要求的3500个词作为目标词汇，在相对较短的时间内（如寒假期间，不超过一个月，平均每天100个左右）一次性集中大量地进行一轮轰炸式记忆（可利用各种单词速记法：词根词缀、谐音等）。然后就可抛弃掉词汇书，接着在大量高考真题的演练中得到重复、重复、再重复，不断的加深巩固记忆在真实考试中出现的高频词。同时提醒广大考生，即使完全掌握了大纲要求的所有词汇，也不能保证在阅读考试中就能认识所有的词（每篇文章都注定会有若干个超纲和熟词僻义的单词），在这种情况下，熟练掌握八种在高考中最常用的猜词法就十分重要：定义猜词法，同义猜词法，反义猜词法，并列猜词法，转折猜词法，举例猜词法，上下文语境猜词法，词根词缀猜词法。
至于语法，在阅读部分只要求对长难句的熟练掌握。由于高考阅读文章都是由国外原版文章中摘抄节录下来的，和我们中学课本中带有中式英语色彩的句子有很大不同，充斥着大量省略、插入、分隔、分词、平行和从句等长难句（高考中主要的六大长难句型）。这些长难句对考生提出的要求是，能够一眼抓住句子主干，即主、谓、宾。要达到这个要求，考生可以适当进行一些长难句专项突破，把高考真题中的长难句归纳分类为上文提到过的六大句型，通过集中阅读达到熟悉句型结构的目的。
三.“三个把握”：对文章题材和体裁的把握，对题干和选项的把握，以及对自己节奏和语感的把握。
1， 对文章题材和体裁的把握。
考生可根据上文命题趋势中“阅读材料的多样性和贴近生活性”的分析总结，结合高考中的常见和热门题材，有针对的阅读一些英文报刊杂志上相关的文章和广告等，扩充背景知识，对答题会有一定的帮助。同时，现阶段考生还是要把最大的精力投入到对历年高考真题的练习和研究中，熟悉各种题材和体裁的文章不同的行文结构和套路。除了按照每次一份卷子一套阅读题的综合模式，还可以专门做一些分题材文章的专项练习,效果更佳。
2. 对题干和选项的把握。
考生需要了解并熟练掌握高考阅读理解德四大题型（见上文）的答题方法和技巧并配以充分的专项练习，这里要提醒广大考生的是，所有与题型练习有关的专项训练都必须来源于高考真题（自20高考命题权的下放，全国每年共有15套英语试题），而不能用市面上纷繁杂乱、质量良莠不齐的仿题（或者叫模拟题）来进行练习。因为，只有历年真题才能如实反映出我们的高考命题思路和规律，其中的科学性和学术性绝非一般仿题所能比拟，一些质量低下的仿题甚至会误导考生正确的做题思路，其害无穷。
3. 对自己节奏和语感的把握
从上文的高考命题趋势分析我们已经知道，阅读理解部分的阅读总量（词左右）是相当大的，时间却只有35分钟（平均每篇7分钟），这对大部分考生的英文阅读速度和理解能力都提出了一个挑战。下面是四个要点提醒广大考生注意：
（1） 高考的阅读理解是为了考察交流信息、获取信息的能力，而不是为了研究语言。所以阅读是不求完全的理解（尤其是科普说明文），只要求抓住中心内容，快速找到文题中所要求的信息即可。所以没有必要苛求文中每个单词都掌握，只要能掌握大意，解决问题，不影响答题即可。
（2） 阅读时，不纠缠于语法和语言细节。平时做题时，尽量少查字典，以免影响阅读速度和整体理解（个别关键词除外）。要学会根据各种猜词法猜测单词，毕竟，正式考试是不允许查字典的。
（3） 注意正确阅读习惯的养成。在阅读过程中，头不要来回移动，不要用手中的笔进行“指读”（即眼睛需要顺着笔的移动而移动），不要读出声，尽量不回视，一口气读完。如果有不懂的部分，之后根据题目的要求再回头重读，有针对性的查找有关信息。阅读时，以意群为阅读单位，不要逐词逐词地读。要养成这样的阅读习惯，还需要考生们经过专项的阅读训练才会有效果。
