比之非洲，那里的经济比较好。
比之欧美，那里的竞争和起点都不高，市场也很大。
同时，中国的市场也被许多西班牙语国家所看重，但这些地方英语普及率不高，他们的企业在进入中国的时候，语言成了首先要解决的问题之一，精通西班牙语的人才甚为抢手。
企业方：一才难求
由于西语人才稀缺，一些企业只好放低招聘要求。
中国中信集团公司招聘负责商务谈判的西班牙语翻译，打出了“应届毕业生也可”的条件。
据业内人士透露，与同等学历的英语类人才相比，小语种人才由于供不应求，薪情更高一等。
西班牙语学员中，有不少都是因为工作需要而来学习的。
张小姐是一家西班牙公司驻上海代表处的工作人员，她说：“工作中经常要和西班牙方面的同事接触，不懂他们的语言感觉很不方便，也影响工作效率。
单先生从事国际海运方面的工作，与拉美国家有很多接触，他说：“因为西语国家的人英语水平普遍不高，交流上觉得很有障碍，所以要好好的学习西班牙语，也是为了在工作上有更大的发展。
据一位人力资源专家说，随着中国与西语国家之间经济贸易往来的不断扩大，你会西班牙语，那职场竞争力将翻倍。
打一个形象的比方，在英语同样好的条件下，如果有100个人竞争同一个岗位，懂日语的可能有50人，而西班牙语则几乎没有人与你竞争。
学校：瞄紧市场育人才
面对国内西语人才的紧缺，国内众多大学院校纷纷增设了西班牙语专业，可比之西班牙语人才极度紧缺的市场，确是凤毛麟角。
很多西班牙语专业学生，甚至在大一、大二，就业经开始兼职多家外贸公司的翻译工作，虽然有点赶鸭子上架的味道，但也淋漓尽致的反映了西语才人市场的现状，这也让更多的外语培训学校看到了西班牙语的发展前景。
就业：学生挑选单位
纵观整个西语专业，80%毕业生进入企业，如西班牙、拉美国家独资或合资企业以及国内的企业。
“很多国内知名企业早早就开始进高校做宣传，最早的上一年11月份就已经选好了招聘对象。
当年毕业生迅速被抢光，真的是学生在挑选工作。
另外20%毕业生中，一部分进入政府部门，如外交部、商务部，以及中央电视台、国际广播电台等。
一部分读研究生或是选择出国深造。
国内就业方向
翻译行业
首先从收入上很容易发现，西语的翻译价格是普通英语、德语、法语的2--3倍。
国内一家知名翻译公司的报价是普通英语为130-160元 /千字，而西班牙语的翻译费每千字为280500元/千字。
旅游行业
目前我国在岗翻译专业人员约6万人，而此行业的保守需求约50万人，翻译人才缺口很大。
西班牙语人才由于每年高校培养人数不到英语的1%，所以如果是一名西语翻译，其含金量不言而喻。
中国的历史和人文环境使得国际游客逐年增多，2009年全年入境旅游人数1.26亿人次，其中欧洲游客数量突飞猛进，平均每天接待几万人次。
其中增长幅度最大的有西班牙，南美的游客。
以新疆地区为例，整个新疆地区就一个西班牙语导游。
而江苏省从事旅游会西班牙语的人数也仅2到3名。
旅游行业对小语种人才需求也屡次被提到政策层面。
国际交流
以上海为例，西班牙语人才已列为市紧缺培养人才。
一场某南美领馆举办的葡萄酒商洽谈会，竟然从北京和南京调动西班牙语专业学生出席翻译，可见西语人才储备告急。
企业外派
随着近年来国内企业国际化步伐加大，中国企业在海外业务突飞猛进，海外派遣人员越来越多。
美的、海尔等企业一般提供食宿行和其他福利，基本月薪1200-2500美元。
有一家外建国企在网上提出：如果西班牙语好，学历和专业可以降低要求，那些拥有西班牙语水平证书的人也可以轻松就业，而有专业的留学生几乎没有竞争地就获得外派机会。
政府与高校
随着中国与西班牙及拉丁美洲国家贸易合作关系的加强以及双向旅游的增长，西班牙语作为国际交流语言在中国的地位已经加强。
政府外事机构和开设西语专业的高校都急需西班牙语人才。
