(1) much, little, all(=everything)，a lot, a great deal 等;

【注】else 一般不用在 whose 之后，遇此情况可用 who else’s。如：

但若 who else’s 后不接名词，有时也可用 whose else。如：

3. 与 or 连用，表示“否则”“要不然”。

else 和 other
共同点：一是含义基本相同，“别的，其他的”；二是都可以作定语。
不同点：一是词性不同；二是被修饰的词不同；三是与被修饰词的位置关系不同。

一是只用来修饰两类词；
二是必须放在被修饰词的后面。

else的`用法2：else用来修饰疑问代词(who, whose, what, whoever, whatever)或疑问副词(why, when, where, how),以及以any-, every-, some-, no-与-body,-one,-thing, -where 合成的复合不定代词和much, little, all, a great〔good〕 deal等数量词,在句中作后置定语,但在which后不可用else。
else的用法3：当all, a good〔great〕 deal, a lot, a little, much等与else连用作主语时,谓语动词须用单数形式。
else的用法4：当else后面跟着but, except或besides和一个宾语时, else是多余的,应删去。
